The SASS III project aims to analyse and change the behaviour of water users in the SASS region to promote a more efficient and profitable irrigation.
The project’s activities focused on both the farmer and his farm by covering the main farming systems present in the SASS basin.
The “agricultural demonstration pilots” component enabled the assessment of the feasibility and applicability of the available technical and technological solutions to the major problems in the SASS region.
The multiplicity of problems in the SASS region is illustrated by the themes of the demonstration pilots, which were identified in consultation with the project’s partners of the three SASS countries.
